Become an Ayurveda Professional. An Ayurvedic Practitioner is not only a specialist in disease prevention and health promotion through lifestyle and nutritional advice and 5 senses therapy, but can also treat various conditions.​

What does the certification program entail?

As an Ayurvedic Practitioner you are a specialist in clinical Ayurvedic medicine. You can guide people in adopting a healthy diet and lifestyle AND you are also skilled in managing diseases. You study the diseases that affect every system of the body from an Ayurvedic, Yogic and Western perspective. This program includes extensive training in Ayurvedic disease management and Western Medicine Fundamentals. Graduates are prepared to start a private practice by following a six-month professional internship program. This internship program prepares you as a Practitioner but also guides you in your further personal and spiritual development. This is a 3.5 year professional education program and includes: Ayurvedic Health Counselor program + Ayurvedic Clinical Medicine + Western Medicine Fundamentals + an internship program.

Language: This training is taught entirely in Dutch. We also offer the training in English.

Total Duration: 3.5 years, 6720 SBU, 240 EC (including Ayurveda Therapist training)

Learning format: There are two options to follow this training:

  • Blended Learning classroom education. Combination of self-study, 1 classroom lesson day in The Hague and online live lesson day per module and zoom online lesson. Exception is the 6-day intensive during the APS program.
  • Mixed Live-online. The same as above but then the 2 live lesson days completely online via zoom instead of physically present. Exception same as above.

Modules AP Certification

The AP Certification programs consists of:

1. Fundamentals of Ayurvedic Medicine. Duration: 12 months. This part can also be followed separately. Students will receive a certificate of participation in the basics of Ayurvedic medicine.

2. Ayurvedic Health Counselor internship program. Duration: 6 months.

Total duration of 1 + 2 =  18 months.

3. Western Medicine Fundamentals + Clinical Ayurvedic Medicine. Duration: 18 months

4.  Ayurvedic Practitioner internship program: Duration: 6 months

In each module we use practical exercises, reflection homework, quizzes and study homework to absorb the knowledge. Yoga and Ayurveda lifestyle and rituals are woven throughout the entire training with the aim that students can actually embody it and undergo their own personal process with the aim of achieving balance in body and mind.

With 12 interactive days of lessons and an extensive home study, you will gain essential knowledge for you as a body-oriented therapist. This component is taught in-house by Con Amore. After completing the Basic Medical Knowledge course, you will have in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and pathology. You will quickly recognize the underlying problems of medical complaints and can identify red flags and refer to regular care.

The structure of the course is as follows:

  • An independent home study via the online learning environment with study questions that help you learn the main and secondary issues.
  • 12 interactive days of lessons (09:00-17:30) that you can follow online via Zoom or on location throughout the country. The days of lessons are divided into the following 4 modules:
    • Dutch Healthcare
    • Basic Medical Knowledge
      Basic
    • Psychosocial
    • Knowledge
      Alarm Symptoms

Students who have already obtained an MBK diploma will be exempted.

Eyes, ears, nose, throat, 

During this six-month program, you will gain practical experience in seeing clients (60 visits).

The lessons you will follow online prior to the internship are:

  • Introduction to the internship.
  • The Ayurvedic intake  and documentation.
  • Diagnostics: measuring blood pressure, performing an abdominal examination and measuring the basic pulse.

The lessons you will follow in person prior to the internship in The Hague (6 days)

  • Diagnostics: practicing measuring blood pressure, performing an abdominal examination.
  • Ayurvedic diagnostics: practicing tongue diagnosis, pulse diagnosis.
  • Making herbal medicines workshop. 

During the internship:

  • Panchakarma case management
  • Deepening in Vedic Astrology
  • Yoga, meditation and rituals
  • Case presentations and intervision
  • During this internship, you will be assigned a personal mentor who will coach you in each case from intake to Ayurvedic diagnosis and treatment plan to the follow-up sessions with your clients.
